Course: Facts and Computational Models of Hearing

This course reviews the physiological and psychoacoustics "facts" we know about hearing and auditory processing that represent the underpinings of current computational models of hearing. A number of different computational models of hearing will be examined and students will have hands-on experience with the computational models of R. Patterson and R. Meddis, among others.

Instructors include:

Lawrence L. Feth, PhD, Professor, Department of Speech and Hearing Science, The Ohio State University
Ashok K. Krishnamurthy, PhD, Associate Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, College of Engineering and Director-A5, Ohio Supercomputer Center.
Ray Meddis, PhD, Director of the Hearing Research Laboratory, Department of Psychology, University of Essex.
