The 2009 Summer Institute in Communication Sciences and Disorders (SICSD) will be held at the Ohio State University from 29 June 2009 to 24 July 2009. Like the 2007 SICSD held at the University of Iowa, this Summer Institute is designed to provide a basis for enhanced collaboration among and coordination of training and research activities among both faculty and PhD students in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

The Institute will be 4 weeks in duration and students may enroll in up to two classes (a total of four classes will be offered). Each of these courses will be represent 3 quarter hours (the equivalent of 2 semester hours). Each course will have a specific theme and focus which will be taught by a team of nationally recognized experts in their field. In addition, there will be "stand-alone" evening sessions (to be announced later in the autumn) that supplement these course offerings.
